Talking Dictionary559. If They're Old, They're Dirty

Repeat

559. Near a Brooklyn child care center, two women were standing with ten boys and girls. William was on his way to work. The children were silently standing in line at the corner, waiting for the light. They were about four years old. Each of them was holding onto a red rope. The woman at the front of the line held onto one end of the rope. The woman at the back of the line held onto the other end of the rope. The kids look so cute, William thought. He considered taking a picture of them. He'd send it to the local paper. The young woman at the back of the line was looking at him looking at them. "Don't you have somewhere to be, Grandpa?" she asked. He said, "Excuse me?" She said, "If you don't move away from these kids right now, I'm going to call the police." 3.4
